The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has formally presented the programme outline and strategic direction for its 8th Bi-ennial General Conference at a media briefing held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the NASFAT Utako Mosque, Abuja.

The event served as an official precursor to the forthcoming conference, which is set to bring together members, Islamic scholars, and stakeholders from within Nigeria and the global NASFAT community.

Addressing journalists, the President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, FCS, announced that the conference will take place from Thursday, December 11 to Sunday, December 14, 2025, in Abuja.

He noted that the gathering represents a significant milestone in the Society’s continued dedication to fostering faith, leadership development, community service, and strategic engagement.

Alhaji AbdulRauf revealed that the theme for this year’s conference, “Building Resilience in a Changing World: The Role of Faith and Community,” reflects the pressing challenges facing contemporary society.

These include insecurity, economic instability, environmental concerns, social welfare issues, and the weakening of family structures. He emphasized that these complex issues demand a coordinated, faith-driven approach that promotes collective resilience and societal stability.

He further explained that the four-day conference is designed to provide a robust platform for faith-inspired dialogue, national reflection, and community-centered policy conversations.

The President also reaffirmed NASFAT’s longstanding commitment to peacebuilding and national cohesion, recalling the Society’s 2012 National Summit on Peaceful Coexistence as part of its enduring contributions to Nigeria’s development.

All deliberations at the conference, he stated, will be guided by NASFAT’s LEAD framework—Leadership, Empowerment, Agents of Change, and Dawah 2.0—which continues to inform the Society’s social, economic, and spiritual initiatives.

The agenda will feature keynote addresses, panel engagements, youth and women-focused sessions, missioner-led discussions, and the Society’s Annual General Meeting.

Alhaji AbdulRauf reiterated NASFAT’s commitment to transparency, institutional accountability, and meaningful collaboration. He expressed appreciation to the media for its sustained partnership and encouraged journalists to uphold values of truth, peace, moral integrity, and development-focused reporting that positively shapes public discourse.

The briefing was attended by senior national and zonal officials, including Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola, National Women Affairs Secretary; Alhaja Nofisat Arogundade, Secretary, National Council of Elders; Alhaji AbdulFatai Olayemi, National General Secretary and Chairman, Conference Planning Committee; Dr. Nasir Raji Mustapha, FCT Zonal Chairman; Alhaji AbdulGaniyu Balogun, Chairman, Local Organising Committee; as well as Branch Chairmen from Dutse, Kubwa, Gwagwalada, Ido Seriki, Udu, and other branches across the Federal Capital Territory.

NASFAT reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to strengthening its institutions, empowering its members, and cultivating resilient, faith-driven communities that promote peace, inclusiveness, and sustainable national development. The Society expressed confidence that the 8th Bi-ennial General Conference will reinvigorate its mission and further enhance its service to humanity.
