We Are Unshaken by Defections from PDP

 ....Hon Dantani Zadna Dares APC

 By Solomon Kpamor, in Abuja

A former speaker, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Hon. Dantani Zadna has said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the FCT remains unperturbed and unshaken by the defection of the executive chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council, Hon. Christopher Zakka aka Maikalangu from the PDP to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Hon. Zadna who's the Works and Housing helmsman for AMAC spoke to journalists on the sidelines of a general meeting of PDP at the party's state secretariat in Abuja during the week.

The PDP chieftain reassured party supporters that stakeholders of the party are working assiduously to ensure the party's victory in the forthcoming council polls.

He dismissed the defection of some members from the party, describing their move as inconsequential, adding that it cannot influence the outcome of the forthcoming council polls in the nation's seat of power.

According to Hon. Zadna, the AMAC chairman must have been coersed into leaving the the party after the APC successfully instilled fear in him that his political future is in a state of uncertainty.

Zadna stressed that FCT is a PDP territory and stronghold, adding that the love and support that FCT people have for the PDP will still reflect in the future elections regardless of defections by some stakeholders.

The PDP chieftain insisted that the impacts PDP has in FCT over the years is too formidable, thus making it a covenanted party beyond the capacity of APC to dismantle through anti-people  political scheme.

Urging FCT people to remain steadfast in their unwavering support and solidarity for PDP, maintained that defectors from PDP have only traded away their relevant and political destiny.

Hon. Zadna concluded: "We remain unshaken because AMAC is a formidable PDP family. The PDP is a grassroots party, well loved by the people across FCT and beyond. So I want people to know that the spirit behind the seat of AMAC chairman is still with the PDP,  and it will reflect in the forthcoming election."
