Students Mentored To Change Old Order Of Governance in Africa

Arising from the current poor performance and near zero malfeasance in governance in many African countries, resulting to failures in developmental trajectory of these countries in terms of socio-economic and democratic tenets, a pan- African movement championing the cause of changing the old narrative for the good, is organizing a program aimed at bridging the gap by building a new generation of value-chain future leaders who will become not only people-centric, but also focused and service delivery driven.
The movement, operating under the auspices of School of Politics, Policy and Governance, SPPG is been put together with the idea of bringing together leaders who will have vision for African legacy.
According to Mr Anthony Ubani, Executive Director, Fix-politics, Africa, the program as successful as it is, represented a determination of the school to effect a drastic change of the old retrogressive order and move ahead to bring a new generation of value-added students who will become future leaders that will move the continent forward.
SPPG, according to the very optimistic Executive Director of Fixpolitics, Africa, is indeed a world class school of politics and the first of it's kind in Africa and the world at large.
In the school, the caliber of of new generation of African leaders are expected to be groomed and would expectedly change the not-too impressive show of governance which has over the years been dragging the continent backwards to a more robust and dynamic focused governance that is people-centric, futuristic and democratically oriented.
He further explained that about twelve African countries are participating in the program, an attestation to it's progressive nature and an indicative to it's acceptance within the African circle.
Part of the high profile persons who graced the event is the former Minister of Education, Mrs Oby Ezekwesili popularly known as Madam Due Process and a host of other reputable personalities from within and outside the country.
The event which is taking place in Yar Adua Centre, Abuja is however part of the on-going reforms and sanitization exercise to thoroughly re-engineer and revitalize the governance structure in Africa with a view of giving back to the society quality leadership and as well governance.
