The Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Prof, Joseph Terlumun Utsev who represented Dr. Jackson John, Director Finance and Administration, Cross River water basin authority in his speech said we are not just celebrating our diverse cultures, but also recognizing the boundless opportunities for sustainable development through strategic partnerships across sectors.

The Minister, noted by engaging with international partners to promote climate-resilient water management practices. By adopting smart technologies and sustainable resource management strategies, we can safeguard the region's water security and build resilience against climate impacts.
Director-General, Ambassador Felix Ihonre, Ecowas food and cultural festival, in his opening speech, welcomed all national and international delegates to Uyo Akwa Ibom State.
