World Humanitarian Day: an NGO Humanitarian Service Diamond Award, has selected the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and the governor of Akwa Ibom State Pastor Umo Bassey Eno as awardees for this year’s world Humanitarian Day activities.
In a statement signed by the Convener Comrade Ikechukwu Noeebert,said the prestigious event is in the celebration of humanitarians efforts and outstanding charge makers in Nigeria.
The Awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 20th August 2024 at ladi kwali hall, Abuja Continental Hotel.

The awardees includes:
Her Excellency, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu (CON) First Lady, Federal Republic of Nigeria for Lifetime Humanitarian Achiever and Beacon of Hope. His Excellency, Pastor Umo Bassey, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, for 2024 Humanitarian Governor of the Year. Prof. Babagana Umara Zulium Executive Governor of Borno State, for Lifetime of Hero. Prince Engr. Arthur Eze OFR. Chairman Atlas Oranto Petroleum for Lifetime Humanitarian Hero. Late Captain Hosa Okunbo for Humanitarian Posthumous Award. Mr. Osahan H. Okunbo, Chairman, Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartment, Founder, the Osaokunbo foundation for Emerging Leader on Philanthropy amongst other prominent humanitarians and change makers.
The convener explained that the Humanitarian Service Diamond Awards is aimed recognising individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions in Nigeria, he added.
