The Peace Ambassadors Advocay Network, an affiliate of United Nations, Hononed Ambassador Fatima Mohammed Page, along side were some distinguished women and girls advocates , who received Peace Ambassadors Award.
" Women who have contributed in the promotion of peace, advocacy, and gender equality in Nigeria.
"Among the honorees were wives of some state governors, Niger State, Ebonyi State, among others.
Who have advocated massively, by ensuring indusion of women in politics, and good governance in Nigeria.
"Advocacy in the area of adopting and implementation of key registration, for violence against persons prohibition (VAPP) act, child protection laws and gender based violence (GBV).
Amb Fatima is very passionate about the plight of women and children, particularly in relation to GBV, health, education and countering violent extremism in the Northeast Nigeria.
Her dream is to see women economically empowered, educated and their health concerns addressed in a sustainable manner.
Why speaking to Newsmen Hypenews reporters, after the award, she show so much appreciation to the organizers, Peace Ambassadors Advocay Network, as this will encourage her to help humanity the more.
"As the focal person on women to the His Excellency Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, the government has done it's best, calling on all to come together and support the Northeast, she also dedicated the award to the Governor and the good people of Yobe State.
