An NGO, Humanitarian Services, in commemoration of World Humanitarian Day 2024, is set to honor 50 distinguished Nigerians and 25 institutional organization.
With the Humanitarian Services Diamond Awards
scheduled to hold on the
20th of August, 2024. At prestigious Abuja Continental Hotel,
Wuse Zone 4, Abuja Nigeria;
Time 5pm
This is in commemoration of the World Humanitarian Day
With the theme; Integration of Social Welfare and Justice for
Nigeria Senior Citizens in Humanitarian Project Delivery
Humanitarian Service Diamond Awards was founded on the fundamental
principles of humanity, impartiality, voluntary service and unity with the goals
deliberately designed to influence practices and behaviors that are humanly
acceptable in a continuous manner addressing issues, challenges of the
vulnerable, poverty, hunger, underdevelopment, unemployment, disaster and displacement in Nigeria.
In his opening speech the convener, COMRADE IKECHUKWU NORBERT at a press briefing/ unveiling of the 50 most impactful humanitarian and change makers in Nigeria, last Friday 31st May 2024 at Stonehenge Hotel Abuja.
"Said that HSD Awards was established to identify, honor, and celebrate a cross
section of change makers, philanthropists, donors, public and private office
holders, social impact organizations, professional bodies advancing
humanitarian works in our society.
Pointing out how they celebrated their incredible extraordinary
contributions of their time, voice, and resourcesfor the socio-economic
emancipation of the indigents, vulnerable communities within Nigeria, Africa
and across theglobe, thus inspiring generosity, love and care.
"Come Ikechukwu further revealed, there are two categories of these awards which are the individual category and
the institutional organization memories honoring individuals, change makers and social
impact organizations who have contributed immenselyfor socio-economic
emancipation of indigents and vulnerable communities respectively.
"These honors are not for sale or transferrable. Our carefully selected independent panel of judges with the help of the general public whom these individuals and organizations have impacted their lives have ensured that all these recipients we are unveiling here today won these awards on merit,; he stressed.

In his closing speech he congratulated each and every one of them in advance while
waiting for the main event of the award presentation, he also use the opportunity to encourage love, care, patriotism, more
humanitarian services, CRS participation from well-meaning Nigerians, multi
nationals,public institutions and private organizationsoperating on the
Nigerian soil.
Further more, Nigeria is rich and blessed, from the oil wells in the creek of the Niger Delta to
the fertile land mass filled with abundance solid minerals in her northern
region, no citizen should be relegated toabject poverty, he noted.
