As residents of Oyo state cast their votes across all the 33 local governments, Ibadan Northwest/Southwest Federal Constituency’s lawmaker, Rep. Hon, Abass Adigun Agboworin , has also recently casted his vote in the chairmanship and counsellorship election at Anfani, Ward8 unit 5. On 27th April 2024
Speaking with newsmen after casting his votes, at his redesence Hon Abass noted that his participation in the LG polls reflects his dedication to democracy and his constituents’ well-being while stressing that his vote in this election reaffirms the democratic spirit in IBNorth/IBSouth.
"Hon. Agboworin Abass Adigun further stated that his involvement encourages civic engagement and collective responsibility and his actions would inspire people both in his constituency and beyond to uphold democratic values and progress.
"While he exercised his constitutional right to vote, he also anticipated victory in the outcome of the election for all PDP aspirants.
"He however appealed his Governor, Gov. Seyi Makinde, for his giant strides in education, health transportation, increasing the IGR from number 26 to between 4 or 5 and in massive infrastructural development, enhancing connectivity, significantly improving the quality of resident life's and visitors alike.
"In his statement, to Governor Makinde's dedication to infrastructure development has not only enhanced connectivity but has also significantly improved the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
"The road from Ibadan to Iseyin, once in a dire state, has now been revamped into a splendid road, motorable by all, and effectively opening up the towns around these locations which have long been in oblivion.
"This development represents a remarkable outcome of democratic governance which reflects a vital role that road networks play in facilitating economic growth, fostering social cohesion, and enhancing overall prosperity.
"Ibadan-Iseyin, bypass road, the governor has demonstrated his dedication to addressing the infrastructure deficit that has long hindered the state's progress was all not left out he pointed.

THE NEW BYPASS
This bypass, located before Guru Maharaji's camp, will now facilitates easier travel without the need to enter Ibadan. Instead, travelers can take the bypass and emerge near Asejire, close to Ikire,designed to alleviate congestion and streamline traffic flow, the bypass road has not only improved transportation efficiency but has also spurred economic growth and reshaped investment opportunities in the area.
RELIEF FROM CONGESTION:
One of the primary motivations behind the construction of the bypass road was to alleviate the perennial traffic congestion in Ibadan, especially for travelers heading to Osun, Ondo, and other states beyond Oyo.
Prior to its construction, commuters often faced long delays and bottlenecks, hindering both personal and commercial travel.
