Following the housing deficit in Nigeria especially the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, occasioned by population explosion and rural-urban migration, the First Rotech Group of Companies Limited has taken the initiative to establish the best modern residential, commercial, recreational, and sports facility otherwise known as Abuja Airport Garden City.
The proposed city is derived from the accessibility to the Abuja Airport as the 2nd Runway is around the area and very close to the Idu train station.
"By the Company, the city will be a "green city" with a focus on sustainability and will have several features that are designed to make it a desirable place to live and work which is close to the Airport.

"The city is expected to create over 3,000 residential units and 2,000 commercial spaces and will have a residential population of about 200,000 people.
Consequently, the total Land Size 187.6 Hectares (Attached is the R of O and signed TDP), total Land Size in Meters is 1,876,000 square metres, Sqm.
Accordingly, the Stratification of prices will be dependent on the area involved which is High, Medium, and Low Density.

In an interview with journalists at the project site, Abuja Airport Garden City, Lugbe, the Company's Chief Executive Officer, Chief Austin Chukwudi OGUEJIOFOR otherwise known as Onwa Enugwu Ukwu n umunri, Okutalukwe Aguileri urged Nigerians to take the opportunity and invest in the city noting that it's the most serene, secure and peaceful city to be so established in Nigeria.
According to him, " this Abuja Airport Garden City is the first of its kind that is Dubai standard"
The CEO stated that the project is a Multi-Billion Naira investment that everyone could ever think of owning a property, positing that it's in partnership with the Federal Government of Nigeria.
Consequently, in the area of security standards, the Police AIG Ogundele Ayodeji while on an inspection visit to the site remarked in an interview with newsmen that the place is conducive enough for the developers to come hence passing a Vote of Confidence on the project.
However, Mrs Chika OGUEJIOFOR who also spoke on the project said it's a good one and the first of its kind. She noted that the benefit of the investors might have some discount.
"Also, during the inspection, the Director of Engineering, John El Chami, said it's the first of its kind ever seen "It is a big project that is worth celebrating; a stone through to the Airport" hence calling on Nigerians to grab the opportunity and be part of the epoch-making city.
Suleiman Galadima, a member of the First Rotech Group of Companies, also said the project is a great one and one of the best.
MD of Rotech Group of Companies, Mohamad Harb also gave the vote of Confidence to the developers, urging investors to come within a short period.
"Uche Okeke, the Chief Operating Officer in a chat with journalists said "This beautiful Abuja Airport Garden City has all facilities and will be the most peaceful and serene environment ever developed in recent times " he stressed.
The Company noted that discussions have been concluded and a major construction firm hoping to commence work by May on the high-level infrastructure works to be done in the city.
However, the city is expected to be completed in 10 years and will be a major economic driver for Abuja and Nigeria and it's expected to become a popular tourist destination.
