The newly- turbaned Sarkin Yaki Kuchigoro in Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Federal Capital Territory, FCT-Abuja, Hon. Adamu Shekwonlumi has promised to utilize every opportunity at his disposal to attract meaningful development to the community.
"The grassroot politician stated this in an interview with HypeNews magazine shortly after the Kuchigoro traditional council performed the coronation ceremony in Abuja at the weekend.
" The Sarkin Yaki, literally meaning the warrior, bemoaned the the dearth of basic amenities in the community such as healthcare facilities, safe water, standard primary and secondary schools as well as motorable roads, pledged to utilize his connection with relevant government agencies address the problems.
"Hon. Shekwonlumi appreciated the Kuchigoro traditional council for the honor accorded him and further pledged to do his best in order to justify the confidence reposed in him.
"He expressed satisfaction with the leadership of the FCT minister, Hon Nyeson Wike, and that of the AMAC chairman, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu and pledged the support of Kuchigoro community to enable them succeed in the implementation of their laudable policies and programs.
The Sarkin Yaki Kuchigoro challenged youths in the area to embrace education, and imbibe the culture of peaceful coexistence as panacea for a peaceful and developed society.
